Após ficar de fora do FIFA 15 e 16, o Corinthians pode finalmente voltar a franquia da EA Sports. Segundo o portal "Meu Timão", site especialisado em notícias do clube, o clube paulista finalmente voltou a negociar com a EA

"O Meu Timão entrou em contato com o departamento de Marketing do Corinthians, que confirmou o andamento das negociações junto à EA Sports, produtora do game, podendo anunciar a parceira nos próximos meses."
Nas duas últimas edições o Corinthians teve um contrato exclusivo com o Pro Evolution Soccer, da Konami. A produtora japonesa ofereceu R$ 500 mil pela exclusividade, enquanto a EA Sports apenas R$ 30 mil.
